HAVING FUN WHILE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!!!
We are in search of volunteers (ages 5 and up) to help us provide clean laundry to our friends in the homeless community. Homelessness in the Austin area is at an all-time high. Not only is it hard for those in this situation to find a place to eat and sleep, but many walk the streets in clothes that are in need of cleaning. We at Mission Accomplished help to meet the needs of the homeless by volunteering to wash their clothes twice a month.
We are committed to make a positive difference through our actions. Operation Clean Clothes (OCC) is a project where we assist the homeless community with their laundry care needs. We pick up clothes of the homeless community from designated locations, take the items to the laundry facility where we wash, dry, fold, and return the items to each individual the same day. We provide this service every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month. Our belief is this integrated approach increases the self-esteem and confidence of individuals which will ultimately result in them being more productive.
